Hurst Euless Bedford Independent School district primarily serves the cities of Bedford, Euless , and Hurst . It also serves, to a lesser extent, small parts of the cities of Colleyville , Fort Worth , and Grapevine . The district operates nineteen elementary schools (K-6), five junior high schools (7-9), and two high schools (10-12).
With the exception of a few special programs offered at the elementary level, the programs offered are generally uniform throughout all district schools, and students are assigned a specific elementary, junior high, and high school based on location.
The district has offered the International Baccalaureate degree program at both its high schools since 2002, graduating the first class of IB students in 2004 . Advanced Placement classes are offered at both high school campuses, with a Pre-AP curriculum available at the junior high school level. While the district pays all test fees, students in AP classes are required to take the AP exam in that subject.
